Most states don't recognize gay marriage - but now Hallmark does. The nation's largest greeting card company will now be selling same-sex wedding cards in their aisles. The cards will feature two tuxedos, overlapping hearts or intertwined flowers, with best wishes inside and say "Two hearts. One promise."

Duh! Why wouldn't they?!

Okay, great! Seriously, I think that's awesome, but as a white woman married to a black man, can we get some interracial cards please? I think it's amazing that this has gone by the wayside for so long.

Can't think of why I would want to congradulate anyone for going through that process. God says it makes Him sick, and he did create Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!

They lost mine to! I will not shop there anymore!
Yay! The homophobes are no longer buying from Hallmark!!!
I have ALWAYS bought HALLMARK and now... I'm turning a new leaf!
This is a disgrace! I'm utterly HUMILIATED at what the world has become! When did being wrong become something that made everybody feel right?!?! When did we all lose sight of MORALS? This is a disgrace and I'm sorry to say...
HALLMARK IS NO LONGER RECEIVING MY BUSINESS!
Good luck with the new line of cards... you'll need lots of their support since you will no longer be getting any of mine or anyone else's whom I tell about your horrible decision!!!!!!!!!!

What a joke! For a country where the majority rules, We sure have had a lot shoved down our throats lately! What's wrong with this country? Let's see. When you take away everything positive you are left with only negative. I figured that out all by myself and I'm far from being a mental giant!

I am glad it does not say marriage on these cards at least. I am all for gay-rights. Do what you want...Civil unions, but why do they have to call it marriage?? All the same rights, please a different name. Sanctity of marriage - it is all in the name.
And good point about interracial cards!
MSNBC should not have said marriage cards in the title, but gay union cards.
HeavenHelpUs Rm1:27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Would Hallmark, anyone care to call GOD a liar

I don't want to give them my business either. Also I went to their web site and emailed them my opinion about their new "product line".
I personally am asking friends to boycott Hallmark after this one AND EMAIL the company with their comments. Hallmark has always leaned towards the Christian merchandise. Now I see it was always all about the money!

I am with you!
As the Mom of a gay son, I could not be happier that now my family and friends can send a card that acknowledges and congratulates he and his partner on their marriage.... I continue to hope that folks will live by their beliefs...to love thy neighbor...thanks Hallmark I am sure there must have been a lot of discussion...you did the right thing.....

As I have said on another thread on this topic, BOYCOTT seems to be the word of choice here. No more Hallmark cards for me or mine! I, too am going to their website to let them know my intentions !!!

I find it fascinating that so many folks on here are calling for a boycott. "Breeders" are such hypocrites. Many gays in California decided to boycott businesses owned by people who helped fund Prop 8. Of course, they were criticized by the breeders who said that business owners should be allowed their personal opinions and that their businesses should not be boycotted. Now, when a business makes a decision that breeders don't like they decide to boycott and protest. Typical from a group of people who have destroyed the American family. Yep, heterosexuals have done more to damage marriage and family values than gays could ever do. Hets divorce at an alarming rate. Apparently they want GOD to recognize only the marriage they choose to count. And, they are thrilled to ignore all biblical passages regarding divorce. What a sham. And look at the number of households where both parents work. Yeah, tell yourself all you want that dumping your kid on someone else to babysit while you work so you can afford extra vacations and clothes and jewelry for yourself is good for your kid. You suck as parents. Oh, and let's talk about the number of men in this country who don't pay child support unless forced to by the court. If your child support is garnished from your check then you are a class A hetero loser. Child support is only garnished when you've been failing to pay it. Garnishment is not the standard process for paying child support. What a bunch of hypocrites.
There certainly are quite a few people getting their knickers in a knot over what should be a celebratory occasion. No one is forcing anyone to buy these cards. Hallmark offers cards for a plethora of occasions. Now there are cards that people can buy in honor of the marriages of same-sex couples. If people are having a negative reaction to other people expressing a positive sentiment, it says far more about those who are in a huff about a wedding than those getting married.

I also will never buy another Hallmark product. It's such a violation of what real marriage is. By the same token I also believe that living together, even if you're heterosexual, is wrong. Sex, by it's very nature, has a very high purpose----the procreation of humanity. It is not a toy, not something to be trifled with. It's understandable that 2 people may be very endeared to each other; but once the line is crossed into sexual activity it becomes wrong unless there is a true marriage---the becoming of two into one for the purpose of unity/procreativity. It can never be possible for same sex attracted people. Again, sexual activity even amongst the unmarried shows a serious lack of understanding on the parts of the people involved. I'll add to that the use of birth control pills and devices, as well as sterilization----you take the natural use of the reproductive system and try to fool it or break it. Think about doing that to your other body parts----the end result is never good.
Society is paying dearly for "free sex" in emotional health (people left with the feeling of having been used, etc), physical health (diseases), and societal health (foster care of all the children produced by live-ins, or one night stands, absent fathers, etc.).
We are on a rapid road to self destruction. We are all capable of living to a higher standard.

I won't be buying anymore Hallmark cards. Marriage is between a man and a woman as God designed it. I do love my neighbor and telling he truth is a huge part of that love. Same sex marriages are wrong by nature and by God's word. Call me what you want, but Jesus died for all and He wants gays to repent and give up this sin. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it.

While we're on the subject of sexual sins and marriage----I might add here that Christians who practice serial polygamy (marriage, divorce, marriage, divorce, ...) are just as wrong. "Christians" who are living together sexually without marriage are also just as wrong---it's called fornication. True marriage is between a man and woman. True marriage is also "til death do us part"----FIND a way to make it work through all the trials and sufferings. If you cannot for serious reasons (ie porn addiction, abuse, adultery, etc.) then separate and live singly as you still have a spouse, albeit an impossible one to live in the house with. Christians who yell, "sin" about homosexual sexual activity but don't obey God's laws either are every bit as wrong. A homosexually oriented person who lives chastely is more correct in his/her actions than the "Christian" who does not!! Christ does not cover over your sins; He calls you to a life of holiness and to repent of your sins and stay on the correct moral path.

The sexual order of creation is obvious. Male & Female belong to each other.
One does not necessarily have to read the Bible to see that.
It's clear to anyone who respects the laws of nature that two men having having *** with each other is a sickness in need of treatment and cure not encouragement and promotion.
Hallmark offering Gay marriage cards is like offering greeting cards promoting tobacco for smokers with lung cancer.

What Hallmark did it just shows the weakening of their standards.
It's all in the money, isn't it!? It is sickening how we see the moral standards in this country disenegrating on daily basis. And they call it expression of freedom. What a mockery of the meaning of the word!

YEAH!!! yet another milestone for a country rolling down hill like a snowball headed toward hell. Where is the moral fabric of our United States?

I for one applaud Hallmark. Listen, just because Ben and Jerry's offers a flavor of ice cream you don't care for, does that mean you will never eat another flavor made by them again?
Whatever anyone believes, we should all respect the opinions of others. I am thrilled that Hallmark has gone in this direction - I hope I get one of these when I get married!

"Morality is doing right, no matter what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told, no matter what is right." - H L Mencken
I absolutely agree with you that we should all respect the opinions of others. People need to open their eyes and be less narrow-minded. Denoucing one's natural right to love and to be loved is just wrong. I've always loved Hallmark, and now I love it even more!

And someday when you stand before the Final Judge - God Almighty! And he pronounces; Depart from me I never knew you. You will most likely recall this thread and say wish I would have listened.
Hallmark has lost my business, also. I am so sick of companies bending over backwards to placate the immoral activities of some. I agree with many of the posts - the only way to fight this is to boycott their products. There are plenty of other card companies out there that won't humiliate and insult us. Just because some immoral judges say something is ok, doesn't make it right. This country has turned it's back on God and His teachings, and there will be Judgement to pay.

Its all about the almighty buck. In rhe end, we as consumers have the final say. If their revenues fall as a result of consumer backlash, then it wont last long. If the revenues rise then there you have it. Time will tell. Really no politics here, just a money game.

It was about time for people to understand that is not up to us to judge others for their sexual orientation, if GOD exist he will do it the same way he will judge all of those who opposes same sex marriage, because their are pursuing their happiness by making others suffer and God condemned that too, Jesus said "if you are free of sins throw the first stone" for all of those who said that this is an abomination I will ask them How many etherosexual are there committing more sins than homosexuals and lesvians do, divorcing every single day for cheating, sexualy abusing their own child, family violence, use of drugs, alcohol etc.............But that is not an abomination so we should give them an applause? If you are saint live as one and proved that you are untouchable by loving everyone for what they are and not for what they prefer to practice, remember you are not GOD and you will be judge too,do your part to live forever and let the others to do their own.
We are also to stand up for the Faith which is the Gospel. It is not our law ,it is GOD"S law! If we did not stand up for the wrong he would judge us! You say that he will judge us for saying it is wrong, that is YOUR law not God's. We are on God's side!

I find it laughable that all these tards on here are "declaring boycott!!" - how stupid! This has already been proven to INCREASE business for other companies that have reached out to the gay community- like Ford and McDonald's, and Disney Land. The Family Retard Council declared boycott on all of these companies, and their business only doubled because of it- so boycott away, you fools! hallmark will be laughing all the way to the bank because of your bigotry! HAHAHA!
